Seminarium ACMiN: Unconventional superconductivity in correlated electron systems

Streszczenie

Strong electronic correlations in condensed matter systems can drive a number of exotic phenomena such as: unconventional forms of superconductivity, exotic magnetic states, Mott physics, or spatially modulated states. Many of these phenomena are still not completely understood in spite of significant experimental and theoretical effort. One of the prominent examples of strongly correlated electron systems are the copper based high-temperature superconductors. At the same time novel systems are being discovered which may shed new light on the physics of electronic correlations. The recent discovery of Mott insulating state and unconventional superconductivity in the moiré superlattice systems is considered one of the main achievements in this field. In this talk I will review our main theoretical results related with the physics of copper-based compounds. The main focus is going to be placed on the description of the unconventional superconducting phase. In the second part of the talk I will analyze the similarities between the popular cuprates and the novel moiré superlattice systems. I will also present the initial theoretical results related with the latter.
