KGK Space Resources Conference 2022

Between May 19 and 20, 2022, the AGH UST will host the 5^th edition of the KGK Space Resources Conference. The event is intended to integrate the scientific community working on the issues of space resource engineering and the presence of humans in extraterrestrial space.

The conference has been divided into three thematic sessions:

• Mechatronic Engineering – this session encompasses the technological, construction, and material challenges brought about by the development of space mining equipment and the devices used for space transport and exploration
  
  

• Planetology – this session is devoted to the mining and geological aspects of resource acquisition from objects in space (planets, planetoids, asteroids, etc.), as well as the analysis of potential mining sites, identification of minerals, and evaluation of potential profit from exploitation
  
  

• Human, Law, and Economy – pertains to the analysis of economic problems related to space mining, property, and legal dilemmas, as well as international regulations regarding the acquisition and exploitation of resources outside Earth. This session also covers biological and medical aspects related to the topic
