Three AGH UST projects in Programme Leader

Three scientists of the AGH University of Science and Technology are among the individuals who were awarded grants for research projects in the 7^th edition of “Programme Leader” organised by the National Centre for Research and Development. 

The distinguished research projects of the AGH University of Science and Technology: 

• Non-contact imaging of damages in composite structures with use of laser techniques (granted financing: PLN 1,200,000); Łukasz Pieczonka, DSc, of the Department of Robotics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics  
• Development of innovative platform for construction of devices of the Internet of Things consistent with concept of Fog Computing (granted financing: PLN 1,187,500); Tomasz Szydło, DSc, of the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications 
•  SDNRoute: integrated routing support system in software-defined networking (SDN) (granted financing: PLN 1,200,000); Piotr Boryło, DSc, of the Department of Telecommunications at the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications  

 Programme Leader is meant for young scientists who want to gain experience in managing a research project and who intent to develop the competence in building, managing and leading their own scientific research teams. The Programme also aims at stimulating collaboration between scientists and entrepreneurs by means of conducting research of practical and commercial potential. Additionally, it encourages inter-sector and inter-university mobility, as well as mobility between scientific research institutions.
