The AGH appreciated by the Erasmus project students


In the questionnaire conducted by the European portal StudyPortals evaluating satisfaction among students of the Erasmus program Poland ranked the high third place. Our country’s  two  universities were distinguished in this survey.   

Nearly 16 000 students participating in this survey were educated in European universities in the academic year 2015/2016.  The award “International Student Satisfaction Awards 2016” was conferred to 14 universities out of 153 appointed higher education schools, the AGH  Science and Technology University and Wrocław University of Technology among them.    

The highest evaluation grade belongs to Norway (9,26 points). Ireland ranked a little lower, gaining  9,19 points, whereas Poland,  with the result of 9,09 points , ranked third. Our country was appreciated by foreign students most of all thanks to convenient living and boarding options and friendly atmosphere in the academic environment (mainly in cities). Among the appointed universities there were many Spanish and German universities.   

At the AGH a number of foreign students has been  increasing systematically for several years. In the previous academic year, in the scope of the Erasmus program a total number of 324 people studied here ( the year before there had been 257 and two years ago 166 students). The most students , nearly 150, started studying at the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication. Foreign students were also interested in the Management Faculty and Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Faculty. The most Erasmus students visited the AGH from Spain, Turkey, Portugal and France.
