Over PLN 3.5m for AGH UST research projects

Research projects of the AGH University of Science and Technology, worth in total PLN 3,629,100, have been qualified for funding by the National Science Centre within the framework of the competitions HARMONIA 8 and SONATA BIS 6.  

HARMONIA 8 – for research projects carried out within the framework of international collaboration, not being subject to co-financing from foreign funds.   

• Explaining the mechanisms of natural gas generation, migration and mixing on the example of accumulation in the Upper Palaeozoic formations of the Upper Silesian and Lublin Basins and the Miocene formations of the Pre-Carpathian Depression on the basis of its composition of stable isotopes C, H, N, Ne, He, Ar, Kr and Xe, the geological characteristics of bedrock (the experiments of hydrous pyrolysis and a series of analyses), and geological conditions

SONATA BIS 6 – for research projects aiming at the establishment of a new scientific research team, carried out by individuals holding an academic degree or an academic title, who were awarded the academic degree of doctor in the period between 2 and 12 years before submitting the application.    

• Multifunction osseous cements based on polyurethane-saccharides with controlled crosslinking temperature
  granted amount: PLN 1,481,700

• Research into the measurement methods and design of biofunctionalized microwave systems forming microbiological sensors
  granted amount: PLN 1,433,900
