Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology AGH UST invites for a seminar that will be held on 21st November, 2019, at 4.00 pm.
A lecture titled “Whales and thin layers” will be given by profesor Konrad Szaciłowski from Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology AGH UST.

Semiconducting thin layers, either compact of nanoporous, show numerous interesting properties, including Photoelectrochemical Photocurrent Switching and Cation-Induced Photocurrent Amplification effects, electrical nonlinearity and short term memory due to charge trapping at interfaces and structural defects. Photoelectrochemical photocurrent switching effect, reported for the first time 10 years ago, served as a basis for the construction of numerous optoelectronic devices, including logic gates (binary, ternary and fuzzy), binary half adders and demultiplexers. Further development of information processing at the nanoscale was initiated by the discovery of artificial neurons. This seminar will present recent results in pattern recognition and signal processing in various thin layer and thick layer semiconducting devices.
