Steelworker’s Day 2021 at AGH UST

This year’s Steelworker’s Day at the AGH University of Science and Technology will take place on 4-7 May. Owing to the pandemic, all celebrations will be held remotely.

Programme

4 May

19.30 – Special Mass delivered at the Collegiate Church of Saint Ann for the staff and students from the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science (participation subject to the sanitary restrictions)

6 May

8.30 – 58th. Conference of the Metallurgy Section Student Research Societies
14.00 – Science Conference: “Innovations in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering”: Session 1
15.50 – Announcement of the results achieved by the students of the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science participating in the 58th. Conference of the Metallurgy Section Student Research Societies
16.20 – Science Conference: “Innovations  in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering”: Session 2

7 May

12.00 – The Grand Session of the AGH UST Senate (transmitted on www.agh.edu.pl)

• “Gaude Mater Polonia” performed by Zespół Pieśni i Tańca AGH “Krakus”
• Opening of the Grand Session of the Senate by the AGH UST’s Rector – Professor Jerzy Lis
• Keynote Speech delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Computer Science – Professor Agnieszka Kopia
• Presentation of medals of honour awarded by the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Computer Science
• Speech delivered by Rector’s Proxy for Metallurgy Section Student Societies, Joanna Augustyn-Nadzieja, DSc
• Special addresses and congratulatory session
• Steelworkers’ Oath Ceremony (movie)
• Senate Session Closing
