Public Universities Ombudsmen Forum

The AGH UST will host the Public Universities Ombudsmen Forum, a gathering of ombudspersons responsible for guarding and preserving academic standards. The meeting will be held on October 28, 2021, and its objective is to exchange good practices and experiences regarding the protection of student laws, as well as the entire academic community.

The word Ombudsman is derived from Swedish and essentially means ‘representative’. An ombudsperson is thus an independent institution, free from the influence of authorities, to which one can appeal in matters of freedom and rights infringement, provided that all individual legal paths were exhausted.

Our AGH UST Ombudsperson for Student Rights is Agnieszka Zatyka-Szlachcic, who will represent our university at the meeting.
