Plays with perovskites – online seminar

Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology AGH UST invites for an online seminar that will be held on 28th January 2021 at 2.00 pm.

A lecture titled “Plays with perovskites” will be given by Antoni Żywczak, DSc (Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology AGH UST).

Abstract

Perovskites, thanks to their wide properties, enable the production of materials with many properties that can be used to design various types of devices. I would like to present a few examples of different perovskites. I will discuss properties of ferromagnetic La0.67Sr0.33MnO3, high-entropy (Y0.2La0.2Nd0.2Sm0.2Gd0.2)CoO3 [1], multiferroic BiFeO3. The properties of perovskites can be changed by: strain, different stoichiometry in the perovskite structure, different substrates and buffer layers, which I will show in the presentation.
