Language Café

On December 9, 2021 at 18:00, the AGH UST will be the host of the Language Café – a joint initiative of partners from Germany, Sweden, France, Luxembourg, and Poland. Language Cafés are a place in which students and doctoral students of all UNIVERSEH partner universities have the opportunity to practice language skills in an amicable atmosphere. The meetings are also a great opportunity to meet new people, languages, and cultures.

Language Cafés are periodic. In October and November, the hosts were HHU Düsseldorf and TU Lulea, respectively.

Each meeting has a theme. The Krakow Language Café will be all about nature and tourism. The meeting will last about two hours and will be divided into two parts. The first, a shorter one, is an introduction and an opportunity to get acquainted with one another. The second, longer part is (not so difficult) team/pair work of students from different universities. The participants will receive ready-made materials to help them get into the role of a teacher of their mother tongues. The general rule of meetings is that the students learn from each other.

The meeting participants might be all students and doctoral students of the UNIVERSEH consortium who are interested in foreign languages. An informal yet necessary prerequisite for participating in meetings is a good command of the English language.

Language Cafés take place online on Zoom. To participate, please register by filling out this form.
