On October 4, 2021, AGH University of Science and Technology will host the opening ceremony of the academic year 2021/2022.

Event schedule

9.00 – Inaugural Mass at St. Anna’s Collegiate Church

10.00 – Concert of the AGH UST Representative Orchestra

10.30 – Traditional parade of AGH UST authorities (from build. B-8 to build. A-0)

11.00 Grand Ceremony in the AGH UST Assembly Hall (live at agh.edu.pl)

• “Gaude Mater Polonia” performed by the AGH UST Song and Dance Ensemble "Krakus"
• Speech given by Professor Jerzy Lis, AGH UST Rector
• Matriculation of first-year students
• “Gaudeamus Igitur” performed by the AGH UST Song and Dance Ensemble "Krakus"
• Speech given by a student representative 
• Presentation of awards
• Inauguration lecture by Associate Professor Urszula Stachewicz, titled “The World of Polymer Nanofibers in Materials Engineering – From Medicine to Water and Energy Sourcing”
• Polish national anthem performed by the AGH UST Representative Orchestra
