AGH UST and Riedhammer GmbH sign collaboration agreement

On 9th May, 2012, AGH UST and Riedhammer GmbH signed a collaboration agreement.

The collaboration between the university and Riedhammer GmbH aims at the development of joint scientific-research projects (at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics), organising student training, scientific internship programmes, specialist training and courses, the establishment of expert groups consisting of employees of both parties, as well as the presentation and sharing of achievements.

 

Riedhammer is a leading producer of industrial furnaces all over the world. Apart from ceramic and sanitary articles, the company also offers innovative technologies for the electronic and steel industries. It also provides complex solutions, such as planning, designing, production and maintenance. The headquarters of the company are located in Nuremberg. Riedhammer is a part of SACMI GROUP - an Italian corporation with the main offices in Imola whose annual sales exceed 1 billion euro.

 

The agreement was signed by Armin Preißler - Deputy Director of Riedhammer GmbH, and professor Jerzy Lis - AGH UST Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development.
