100th Inauguration Ceremony of the Academic Year

The Rector and The Senate of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow kindly invite to participate in the ceremonial session of the Senate dedicated to the 100^th Inauguration Ceremony of the Academic Year. 

The ceremony will be held on October 4, 2018 at 11.00 a.m. in the AGH UST Assembly Hall, Krakow, al. A. Mickiewicza 30.

Programme of the ceremony:    

9.00 – Mass in the Collegiate Church of Saint Ann (ul. św. Anny 11)
10.00 – Concert by AGH UST Representative Orchestra
10.30 – Procession of Senate members, employees and students
(from pavilion B-8 to pavilion A-0)

11.00 – Ceremonial session of AGH UST Senate  

• ”Gaude Mater Polonia” performed by the Choir of the AGH UST Song and Dance Ensemble ”Krakus”
• Opening of the Senate’s session by Rector professor Tadeusz Słomka
• Matriculation of first-year students
• ”Gaudeamus igitur” performed by the Choir of the AGH UST Song and Dance Ensemble ”Krakus”
• Speech made by a students representative
• Ceremony of awarding the title of the AGH UST Honorary Consul to professor Tadeusz Więckowski
• Awarding state decorations and prizes
• Opening lecture by professor Rolf Heuer

17.00 (5.00 pm) – Presentation of a cybernetic sculpture created by Edward Ihnatowicz 

18.00 (6.00 pm) – Concert on the occasion of the 100^th inauguration of the academic year

• Artists of “Piwnica pod Baranami” – club STUDIO (admission to the concert only with invitations)
